This weekend is Yum Gourmet Donuts’ last hurrah. At least for the foreseeable future.
Yum makes some of the best donuts you’ll find in the Lower Mainland.
Unfortunately, with skyrocketing commercial rents, they’ve had to close up shop.
But for now, these are my last Yum donuts.
The blueberry cheesecake has always been one of my favorites from theirs.
The triple chocolate brownie is very rich and very delicious. Lots of chocolate going on here for us chocolate lovers. Freshly made brownies too.
And the ever more popular Homer donut, named for Homer Simpson’s favorite snack. Essentially a strawberry glazed donut with sprinkles. Simple but delicious.
Yes, three donuts was probably too much. They’re only good the same day, of course. But since it was my last chance at their donuts for a while, I decided to splurge.
Here’s hoping they find a new home soon.
