Tonight I am eating at the Keg.
I have been looking forward to their Lobster Bisque all day. It’s pretty good.
And f@ck, wouldn’t you know it, they took it off the menu. I’m not feeling a steak tonight, so maybe a couple appetizers.
The Prime rib sliders look ok. Prime rib is not my favorite steak, but on a slider it would probably work. I do like that you can order as many as you’d like. 2 seems a good number.

Now crispy onions I can eat all day. Very yummy. Could have been a little hotter but still delicious. The burgers were decent, but badly under seasoned. Pass the salt please. Good fresh buns, red wine au jus and horseradish. Just not a lot of flavour. Too bad. There’s lots of potential here.
Thats not enough food though. Second Appy coming up.
Tuna Tartare

This might have been one of those occasions I probably should have read my own blog. As it was put down in front of me I remembered Merilynn and I trying this before. And not loving it.
The tuna itself is all right. They served it at a good temperature and it certainly good enough quality tuna. I think my big problem with this dish is the ratio of tuna to avocado.There is plenty of tuna, there’s just too much avocado for me. And again, badly under seasoned.
Did the kitchen run out of salt tonight or something? That’s two under seasoned dishes.
Normally I can count on The Keg for some pretty good food. They let me down tonight.
