The bar comes from the Toronto area, but was purchased at a great little shop off 6th in New Westminster.
I’m a big fan of the grapefruit chocolates from Purdy’s, a local Vancouver chocolatier, but it’s a seasonal item, and is now past the season.
So when Merilynn saw this bar at Origin today I got very excited.
White chocolate isn’t my favorite type of chocolate, but that doesn’t mean I won’t eat it.
As we unwrap the bar we get the aroma of grapefruit slapping us across the face instantly. Very fragrant.
When we bite into the bar the taste of that grapefruit kick us right in the berries. Wow that got some kick. But what a great kick.
Very grapefruit forward with brown sugar in the bar for some crunchy texture all encompassed in a beautifully smooth, high quality, white chocolate.
This is way better than the Purdy’s version. Though I’m sure I’ll still eat those when they come back next year.
