La Ruota

Coquitlam BC

Popped in for a quick bite. La Ruota is counter service with a few casual tables to sit at.

It’s Neopolitan style but is available by the slice for when you’re in a hurry. Or drunk.

A Hawaiian and a Pepperoni for me today.

So like the most of the other by the slice pizza places I’ve been it was fine, but not great. Often the biggest thing for me getting pizza at these places is they just don’t stick it back in the oven long enough to heat it up properly.

Pizza is good hot. Pizza is good cold. Pizza is not good lukewarm. That’s what this was.

I suspect a La Ruota pizza fresh out of the oven would be quite good. I’ll try and give that a go sometime.

They do have a proper pizza oven, though unsure what fuels it. In this location I’d guess gas.

If you find yourself near the high street in Coquitlam and need a quick bite it will do. But just.
