Berton Vineyards Black Shiraz (Australia): Solid Value at $17
I picked up a bottle of the Berton Vineyards Black Shiraz from Australia, and for the price I was pretty happy with it. It’s a dry wine with good fruit up front, and it drinks easily without any fuss.
Is it a complex wine? No, not really. You won’t be sitting there picking out layer after layer of flavour. But that’s not what you’re paying for at $17. What you get is a decent, honest glass of red that does what it’s supposed to do.
If you want something dependable for a weeknight dinner or a casual get-together, this one is worth a look. Good value for the money.
