2021 Bordertown Cabernet Franc is a solid, easy-drinking red.
It comes across as a well-made, approachable Cab Franc that shows off the Okanagan style without trying to be super fancy or age‑worthy.
It’s enjoyable and reliable, just not quite complex or polished enough to push into “wow” category.
You get lots of dark fruit right away: blackberry, black cherry, and a bit of plum, with a touch of pepper and herbs in the background.
The wine is medium‑bodied with a pretty smooth texture, so it goes down easy and doesn’t feel harsh. Tannins are on the gentler side for Cab Franc, and the acidity is moderate, which keeps it food‑friendly but not overly sharp.
