Kapriol Grapefruit & Hibiscus Gin tastes like the kind of bottle that suddenly makes every other gin you own feel a bit boring.
It is bright, easy to drink, and has that “wow, pour me another” feeling from the first sip.
You get a big hit of fresh grapefruit on your nose right away, like cutting into a ripe one at breakfast. There is also a light, pretty floral note from the hibiscus that keeps it smelling soft and inviting instead of harsh.
The flavour is a smooth mix of bittersweet grapefruit and gentle sweetness, with the hibiscus rounding everything out so it never feels too sharp. The usual gin notes are there, but they sit in the background and just make the whole thing feel a bit more grown‑up and balanced.
The finish feels surprisingly smooth, without the harsh burn some gins have, so it is very easy to sip. It’s clean, a little zesty, and lightly floral, and it leaves just enough flavour that you immediately want another taste.
Overall, this gin feels like the one you start opening for “special nights” and then realize you are happily pouring on a random Tuesday. It is fun, flavourful, and straightforward in the best possible way, and it really does drink like the best gin you have ever had.
