Gastown, Vancouver BC
After a stop at our favorite Vinyl shop we wanted to hit a place for lunch.
We walked around Gastown a bit and found a place with a nice patio.
The Twisted Fork has brunch til 3 every day, then a happy hour til 6. It’s located on the pedestrian only section of Carrall street at the edge of Gastown.
There isn’t a ton of choices on the brunch menu. And at $23 it’s not exactly cheap.
The eggs were poached to order, though honestly I found the brioche very dry. I had mine with bacon, Merilynn had the lox. The highlight of the dish for me was the Rösti, not very often I ask for more potatoes. The beans were great too. The spinach was ok, just too much of it.
It was really nice to sit on the patio on such a beautiful day and watch the world go by.
While it was good, I’m not in any hurry to go back. Though I’m gonna try making my own Rösti.
Food 7/10
Value 6/10
Ambiance 8/10
Overall 7/10
There’s better bennies around, but the location is great.
