Ladysmith BC
Ladysmith isn’t very big. If you like sleepy little towns this would be a good place for you.
By 6:00 pm most places here are shut down.
One of the few places open for dinner is Zack’s Lounge.
Zack’s is small, only 6 tables. So get here early if you’re planning a visit.
Inside it’s cozy and welcoming. A nice spot to hang out for a couple hours with what is promised to be good food.
Our cocktails to start.
Honestly after drinking a few I can’t remember what they were called but they were all great.
As for our food…..
Really good.
Onions rings to start.
These didn’t last long. Personally I love a thin battered onion ring. And these were absolutely perfect.
These are the pulled pork tostadas.
Smokey pulled pork with a lemon dill coleslaw and fresh pico de gallo.
That’s about as good as any Tostada I’ve had in any Mexican restaurant.
Even in Mexico.
Remember we are in Ladysmith.
Merilynn had the Beef Dip
That’s 14 hour braised beef, it was very tender. With crispy onions and a horseradish ailoi. Love the crispy onions on there.
So that’s some pretty decent food for a little town on the Island.
Should you find yourself in Ladysmith looking for dinner, Zack’s would be a very good choice.
