Lafayette
Deep in the heart of Cajun country is Lafayete LA, the home of Prejean’s.
On our menu tonight, Gumbo followed by Shrimp and Grits.
House smoked Chicken and Andouille sausage complimented by a deeply flavored broth with rice on the side. We finished the bowl pretty quickly.
The blackened shrimp and dirty grits with a mushroom cream sauce was excellent. The small lick of heat was perfect. With perfectly cooked asparagus on the side.
The staff were very friendly. The restaurant was warm and welcoming. And easy to find, right off the highway.
Prejean’s is an excellent choice if you happen to be in Lafayette.
