After hearing some high praise about Breka we thought we better check it out.
Saturday morning on Davie St at 9am and the place is packed so a good sign right?
Well let’s just say not impressed. Well maybe a little, visually. The baked goods case was packed with goodies. Which means they must have good sales. But what we tried. Ick. Wasn’t even worth taking a photo of. We got a ham and egg breakfast croissant. Thin slice of tasteless ham, rubbery egg and a flat and burnt croissant. Why would you put a nice croissant into a panini press?
The coffee? A bitter and overly sweet vanilla latté.
One day I would like to try some of the pastries. They did look pretty good. I think I’ll be getting my latté at Cafe Artigianno on the way there though.

Maybe this is just a university students hangout. They don’t have matured tastebuds anyways right?
