I was on my way to give Pizza Spacca Napoli another go at impressing me but hey guess what? They don’t open for lunch! So what now? Then I remembered a friend had suggested EFP after we had that rather crummy pie at Famoso a couple weeks ago. We did have to drive about 20 minutes and pass probably 15 other pizza options (including said Famoso location) so hopefully it’s will be worth it.
So don’t go looking for the PoCo location in a typical restaurant area. At the very end of a light industrial lined drive you will find it.
While it’s in a weird spot they do have a seating area so we decided to eat in. Pizza is always best fresh out of the stove! I get the feeling a lot of their business is delivery. Not the greatest dining in experience, gives off a semi industrial cafeteria feel. But like the uninterested Starbucks Barista making my mediocre vanilla latte this morning, it gets the job done.
We ordered two pizzas, the first bring Hawaiian.
Marinara, smoked ham and smoked bacon with pineapple of course! Note that’s not crumbled bacon, that’s strips. The crust was stretched as thin as Nicki Minaj’s Lululemons and had a great undercarriage with no flop.
This is the Genovese.
Basil, green pepper, roasted red pepper, roasted garlic and feta with a pesto sauce on the same yoga pants thin crust. It was good but I do prefer some protein on my pizza. Maybe I’ll add chicken next time.
Can you have pizza without beer? I had a Beetlejuice Beet, Blackberry and Blueberry sour with the pie. Well I could have pizza without this beer.
Frankly it wasn’t that sour and all I got was blackberry. I’ve had better sours.
Overall pretty good pizza. I will give it another shot at some point.
