One of the quintessential things a person must do while in New Orleans is to have a beignet.
For my money it’s CafĂ© du Monde.
There are other beignet shops, and they are all ok, but none of them do beignets as well as Cafe du Monde.
They are beautifully crispy yet with a tender centre. And covered in icing sugar.
Make this a must stop next time you are in NOLA.
