Just off Schoolhouse in Coquitlam in Narita Sushi. A restaurant I have visited before, with very good experiences.
It’s on the smaller side, but a nice atmosphere with always friendly staff.
Just lunch today, so keeping it light.
Ebi Gyoza. Fried shrimp dumplings if you haven’t had them.

Lightly, nicelyv fried dumplings with a good amount of shrimp inside. Perhaps a bit dry, they could use some kind of sauce inside to moisten them up a bit. A slightly sweeter dipping would improve them as well.
Toro Nigiri, which is tuna belly.

While the flavour was good, it was a lower quality fish to be sure. There was a bit too big of a vein running through each piece. It was served at a good temperature though. Not too cold, which inhinits flavours. Just have to get past that chew.
Lovely presentation though.
Overall a bit disappointed today. I’ve had both of these dishes better elsewhere. Not their best effort I’m sure. Will give it another go at some point.
