Vancouver BC
We find ourselves downtown at the Bentall Centre after a long day of shooting.
We desperately need some nourishment.
There’s no shortage of restaurants around. 3 Cactus Clubs, 2 Joey’s and an Earl’s to name but a few. But we do those often enough.
Nightingale is also just 2 blocks away. As we had been before and enjoyed it we decided to head that way.
Now would you think that at 8pm on a Tuesday night it would be busy? It was. Packed actually. We did get seated right away though. Not the greatest table in the place. Whatever, through everyone’s passing our table on the way to the toilets we can see the pizza chef cooking our pizza.
We are trying Gray Whale gin tonight for the first time.
Citrus notes balanced well with juniper for a clean crisp finish.
This will soon be added to my gin library at home. When I can find it that is.
And even though it’s 9:30 at night I’m having a latte. I’ve had one here before, they know how to do good coffee. This latte really puts Starbucks to shame.
Nothing heavy for dessert though since it’s so late.
One scoop of banana sorbet will do.
Frankly I’d like to know how they pack so much banana flavor into that. Light and refreshing to finish the night off.
So all in all another very good meal at Nightingale.
Highly recommended if you’re around Coal Harbour looking for food
Now we mudst try and get to Hawksworth.
