Vancouver BC
After a nice dinner here last week I decided to pop in for lunch this week while I’m on holidays.
While sitting at the chef’s table last week the proper pizza oven in the kitchen drew my admiration, generating the interest for my return visit today.
Voilá, the Hawksworth pizza.
Chorizo, pepperoncini, honey and mozzarella.
So there different levels of spice going on here with the Chorizo and the pepperoncini, with the honey offsetting that heat nicely. Not too much spice, not too much heat. Really a perfect balance.
The crust had just the right amount of crisp for a Neopolitan pizza. Little flop in the middle with that gorgeous, bubbly outer ring.
It disappeared pretty quickly.
The value is pretty good too. $27 for a good quality pizza these days is ok in my book. Way better than that cheap cardboardy stuff. (Yes I’m talking about you Fresh slice)
We sat at the bar as it was busy at lunch.
That’s a great looking bar. They put a lot of detail into it. It was quite pleasant sitting there with the sun streaming in the windows. The whole restaurant has a great atmosphere.
So ya this pizza was excellent. I’d say worth the trip to Vancouver anytime.
One bite review…
