Was browsing the store looking for something cool and came upon this one.
Did I buy it because it has a cool bottle? Maybe that played a tiny factor yes.
A straight Kentucky Bourbon, coming in at 43% ABV.
It’s 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% maltex barley, then aged in white oak for three years and finished in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels.
It has a smooth, sweet, spicy flavour with a long, rich finish. I found the notes of vanilla particularly pleasing. I drink mine neat, I find it quite mellow and fruity.
I bought it Everything Wine, costing $89.90. A good solid mid range bourbon.
Wine spectator scored it at 93 points.
I score it 9/10
