New West
Here we are trying a Benny at the Hub on a beautiful Saturday morning.
Is this perhaps the best restaurant deck in New West?

Unfortunately the food didn’t quite match the view. But it was alright.
We tried the Pulled Pork Benny.

My usual complaint with Eggs Benedict is not enough Hollandaise and today was no exception. However the pulled pork was good, though I suspect if I was trying it on its own as BBQ it might not hold up so well. The eggs were poached properly soft. The English muffin was even toasted!
I did like the coffee. They brought the whole French press to the table. It is one of my preferred ways of brewing.

Next time I’ll skip the juice. Pretty sure it came from concentrate.
The service this morning was good, but it wasn’t busy.
The ambiance inside the place I didn’t care for though. While the deck outside was great the interior gave off a confusing vibe. The tagging on the walls gave me a downtown east side vibe while the furnishing reminded me a bit of a Denny’s or IHOP look. The facilities were perhaps some of the foulest smelling WC suites Ive been in. Not that you’d expect a lavatory to smell like a peumery but it was rather unpleasant.
I don’t think I’m in a rush to go back, but it wasn’t the worst experience either
Food 6/10
Service 7/10
Ambiance 7/10 (on the deck)
Overall 6/10
I have never had a good experience at The Hub and I used to live e in NW. A group I belong to used to hold mo they dinners there and I would always eat before I left home, so I could always order an appy and be done with it. Their service is always abysmal; their prices are way too high for what they offer; it’s noisy and frankly, the food is mediocre, at BEST. Never again.
