New West BC
I was having some fun trolling a lady on the next door app last week and while I was there I saw some good comments about the Terminal Pub.
As the Rivers Reach blows we thought maybe we better go check it out.
As we rolled up it was pretty hard to tell if it was even open. Empty parking lot. No signs of life. Human life anyways. I’m sure there’s a rat or two around for you to save Linda.
Inside life was just about as scarce. We were met by a man who I think is the owner. I will assume there was also a cook in the back I don’t think ChatGPT has replaced all food service workers. Yet. But I think that’s it for bipeds.
The interior was really nice. Now if you judge the place based solely on the exterior of the building you would run away quickly. But let me tell you that would be a mistake. The interior is warm and comfortable. And the meal we had was delicious.
We started with the Cajun Lime Chicken Tacos. These were fabulous. Tender chicken, fresh lettuce and tomatoes and great Pico de Gallo.
But even better was the Beef Dip.
I was a little bit dubious when I saw the bun. I had a bad experience with a similar looking bun my last time I was at the Carvery. Read that review here.
But to my pleasant surprise it was delicious. It was toasted and crisp enough to hold up to the au jus. The beef was thin, tasty and free of grisle.
But the star of the dish was the fries. I don’t know what magic pixie dust they are putting on them there fries but OMG they were good. And I really am not a fry guy. I’ll go back for those ones though. Seriously good.
The service was excellent. But when your the only ones in the place that will happen I suppose.
The history of this building is very interesting. Built in the late 1800s, it was remodeled in the last few years. It’s a really nice interior and is somewhere you can spend some time with friends.
So looks like we have found a decent pub in New West. There aren’t many anyways.
If you’re thinking about going to the Rivers Reach don’t bother. The food at The Terminal is actually worth paying for.

Im gonna give it a second try before I say it might be the best pub in New West. But so far so good
We used to go to the Terminal Pub for dinner quite often before they shut down….Sounds like the food is just as good as it used to be. We will definitely check it out again.
