Yes the stupid sign is still here.
After some adjustments to our food plan this morning we only had time for a quick trip to a local eatery for breakfast.
For some reason unbeknownst to me I suggested the bruncheria. Clearly I had forgotten my last visit here.
Once again I ordered orange juice. Freshly squeezed they say. I don’t believe them. I guess I had forgotten the price tag from last time. Yes it’s still $8 for a mediocre glass of juice.
Once again we ordered the classic Benny. Can you guys please learn to poach an egg? Maybe that should be the true test of a restaurant?
It was at this point I decided to refresh my memory and read my post from our last trip here. Oh ya, same mediocre $19 Bennie. Same expensive OJ. Same ok potatoes. At least hot this time.
I did add bacon this time. $5 for two cold (but crispy) slices. After some quick math, at retail pricing that is $.66 worth of bacon. Or a 700% markup. Probably more as he can get it wholesale. Can I at least get it hot then?
So all in all another mediocre trip to the Bruncheria. At least I got to mock the stop sign again.
