Amigos

Port Coquitlam BC

Since the breakfast option in New West are not the greatest, I though why don’t we go try it today.

So I’ve been dragged here a few times already by friends but haven’t been since I started the blog.

Amigos is a small place downtown PoCo.

I’ve never been all that impressed with it. but the idea suits me better than the Waffle House or 6th Street Grill.

So today we tried the skillet.

Whats the first thing you notice that’s wrong with this picture?

Where’s the skillet? IDK. Anytime I’ve had a skillet before it arrives at the table in the skillet. Piping hot. This was neither.

But otherwise it was ok. The onions were nicely caramelized, bacon crispy, mushrooms gross and eggs well cooked.

It’s $14, not the cheapest thing there. But good enough for us to share.

A couple notes.

The OJ is not fresh squeezed. So expect the concentrated OJ flavour.

If your expecting hollandaise on the eggs, and why wouldn’t you, youll be sorely disappointed. They serve it with cheese sauce.

So if your wanting a relatively inexpensive and wonderfully average breakfast check out Amigos.
