New West BC
In our continuing quest to discover the best breakfast in New West we decided to try Jim’s Cafe today.
If your into time travel it seems like New West is a good spot.
Stuck in 2020 at the height of covid was the Bruncheria. Read my review here.

Today was the 60s, in all its glory. Jim’s Cafe
I had a flashback to when I was a kid going to the Aristocrat cafe at Broadway and Granville with my Grandfather.
We had a Mexican Omelette with a side of bacon.
The Chorizo was not spicy, but the omelette overall pretty good. I’d say maybe slightly overcooked, but still tasty. The salsa was a nice touch. The potatoes were excellent, after a little salt that is. The bacon was good.
It’s not wonderful, but you can get bacon and eggs for $8.50. And if your into nostalgia the ambiance is great.
I’ll give the nod to Jim’s for the best Uptown New West breakfast so far. Bruncheria still leads the way though.
