I’ve been getting together with a few poker buddies every couples of weeks here now
So far haven’t been overly impressed with the food. In the past I’ve had the Mini Yorkshire’s and the Jerk Chicken bowl.
Neither were bad, just not great. For a higher end pub location I expected more.
Today I tried the Creole Shrimp. Spicy shrimp with onions and peppers, garlic bread on the side.
This dish has potential, it just needs to be executed better. The shrimp, while very flavourful, were a little overcooked. And you can probably see the garlic bread is pretty crisp as well. The level of spice was adequate for BC, but personally I wouldn’t have minded more.
The presentation was nice, but served this way I wouldn’t mind seeing it come sizzling out of the kitchen. It wasn’t.
Still, the best meal I’ve had there to date.

It’s a pleasant place to be with adequate fare.
