I had done some research ahead of this trip and this place was pretty highly rated.
Walking in the service was very friendly but it definitely reminded me of a big chains setup and decor.
We ordered a sampler plate with alligator bites, crawfish and shrimp. Seafood gumbo to start.
While the sample plate was tasty, it was hard to distinguish what was what at first as everything looked the same. I did quite enjoy the alligator. Very tender. I haven’t had alligator a lot but when I did the texture wasn’t overly enjoyable.
The seafood gumbo, on the other hand, didn’t get finished. I have had lots of gumbo. And this one does not rate highly.
