Galveston TX
So in Galveston there’s a famous BBQ called Leon’s. We headed over there around 7 for dinner but found it closed.
Texas Pit Stop BBQ was actually our third choice that evening, and it turned out great.
We had the 3 meat platter. Our choices were chicken, turkey and sausage, with baked beans and double baked potato as sides.
It was all excellent. The chicken fell off the bone. The sausage was so full of flavour. Turkey was incredibly tender. Best of the three was the chicken. The beans had a wonderfully sweet flavour. Potatoes nice and cheesy.
What a wonderful surprise after failing on our first two BBQ attempts.
The Pit Stop is a counter service restaurant. Service was quick and friendly.
With a great location on the seawall in Galveston this is a wonderful spot to grab a meal and a stroll along the water.
